W.E.T – “Walk away ” – Official video
Our Music of the Week – “WALK AWAY” is a track from W.E.T’s album, released on February 22, 2013, titled *Rise up*.
W.E.T. is a Swedish-American hard rock band that formed in 2008 when Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwie Malmsteen, Talisman, Axel Rudi Pell, Journey), Erik Martensson (Eclipse), and Rober Säll (Work Of Art) joined forces.
This marked the beginning of the project, which takes its name from the acronym formed by the initials of the members’ respective bands (W, Work Of Art; E, Eclipse; T, Talisman).
The band’s complete lineup consists of:
- Robert Säll – Keyboards/Guitar
- Erik Martensson – Rhythm Guitar/Backing Vocals
- Jeff Scott Soto – Vocals
- Magnus Henriksson – Lead Guitar
- Robban Bäck – Drums
- Andreas Passmark – Bass
Their points of reference include Boston, Journey, Toto, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, and Europe, who thrilled the masses with commercial hard rock and AOR, especially in the 1980s.
And their songwriting and sound, I would say, are also accordingly inspired by this era of glam, glitter, and glory.
