That’s right, Commodore is launching the Callback 8020 – a flip cell phone that blocks access to social media or related platforms. Yes, the company of the famous Commodore 64, Amiga and others (🫣..that went bankrupt in 1994…)
The launch’s taglines are effective: “Welcome to interNOT” or “Less scroll. More soul ”
It seems to offer the sense of freedom from this monstrous thing that digital life has become these days…. It suggests that you have the option to disconnect from everything and stick to the essentials of a “simpler” life.
🧐 Just between us… we all have that option, but is that what we want? Or do we want to be convinced that we don’t have any options? Oops, look at me going all philosophical again…😆

The marketing team came prepared – in addition to the catchy slogans, there’s a waiting list, also merchandise available featuring the brand’s vintage logo, accessories like Snapback cover and Hardback case and yep… everything else… these are the available models:
The pre-launch is scheduled for June 30th and the official US dollar price starts at 499.00.
Well, since everything released that taps into that nostalgic era sells like water in the desert 🤣 – and with the younger generations buying up old iPods, Walkmans, and digital cameras (and posting photos of themselves using them all on Insta 😂😘)…..I think it’ll be a sales hit….but we’ll see.
